We take great care in packaging each type of livestock. Our team uses insulated containers and adds heat or cold packs as necessary to keep the temperature just right. We want your fish and corals to arrive healthy and stress-free, ready to thrive in their new home.
Shipping Rates and Areas
We calculate shipping costs based on your order’s size, weight, and destination. You’ll see the exact cost at checkout, so there are no surprises. For some of our time-sensitive items such as corals and fish, we recommend and offer priority shipping shipping options to enable the fastest delivery to your home, in hope to give the best chance of survival to the livestock.
Shipping Schedule and Delivery Time
We partner with reliable carriers to ensure quick delivery, usually within 1-2 days. Once your order is on its way, you’ll get a tracking number to keep an eye on its journey. To make sure your corals arrive safely, we ship orders from Monday to Thursday. This way, they arrive before the weekend, minimizing their time in transit and reducing the risk of delays.
Return Policy and Guarantee
Nobody likes the loss of their aquatic inhabitants. We do our best to offer our customers fair support in the unfortunate case fish or coral do not survive. Our Island Fish and Scale Guarantee covers the following:
Guarantees do not apply to:
- All specialty items or aquatic life, including fish, plants, corals, and invertebrates considered to be “expert only” as clearly stated in the item description are not covered under this guarantee.
7-Day Guarantee
- Applicable to: Fish, plants, corals, and invertebrates.
- Claim Form Submission: Must be submitted within 7 days of delivery.
30-Day Guarantee
- Applicable to: Island Fish and Scale Certified Captive Grown Corals.
- Claim Form Submission: Must be submitted within 30 days of delivery.
How to Submit a Guarantee Claim
1st Step
Take a clear picture of the coral: We require a photo of the coral to ensure accuracy for replacement or refund. Please make sure to take a clear photo under daylight (not actinic lighting) and on a white background, under adequate lighting, and outside of the aquarium or shipping bag.
2nd Step
Send us your picture and order information: Email the photo along with your order details to support@islandfishandscale.com. Our representative will typically get back to you within one working day. If reporting a loss from a pack, submit a separate claim form for each unique loss within the pack.
3rd Step
Receive your replacement or refund: Based on your preference and the specific situation, we will either replace your coral and fish with a future order or issue you a store credit. All DOA claims are handled on a case-by-case basis to find the best solution for you.
